Structure. The unicameral Parliament /Parlament/ consists of 101 seats. Members are elected by popular vote to serve four-year terms.

Elections. Last elections were held on 28 November 2010.

Election results. Percent of vote by party– Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) - 39.32%, Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) - 29.42 %, Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) - 12.72% and Liberal Party (PL) - 9.96%.
PLDM, PDM and PL formed a ruling coalition called Alliance for European Integration.
Seats by party– PCRM - 42, PLDM - 32, PDM – 15 and PL - 12.
