The South-East European Cooperation Process
The South-East European Cooperation Process is a forum for diplomatic and political dialogue reaffirming the political will and readiness of the countries from SEE to work together and to follow a common agenda thus meeting the region’s needs of stability, security, democratization and economic prosperity.
Cooperation among the South-East European states as a multilateral and inclusive process with evolving structure and political goals has been unfolding over the last 15 years.
Charter on Good Neighbourly Relations, Stability, and Security adopted in Bucharest at the meeting of South East European Heads of State and Ministers on 12th February 2000 clearly outline the overall goals of cooperation among the countries in the region:
1. Enhancement of political and security cooperation
2. Fostering economic cooperation
3. Enlargement of cooperation in the fields of human dimension, democracy, justice and combating illegal activities
