SEECP Parliamentary Delegation Took Part in the Baltic Assembly Session

On 24-25 November 2011 a delegation of the Parliamentary Dimension of the South-East European Cooperation Process participated in the 30th Session of the Baltic Assembly and 17th Session of the Baltic Council held in Tallinn, Estonia. Invitation to attend the event came as continuation of the working relations established by the parliamentarians from the two regions during a visit in Tallinn in February 2011.
 The SEECP Parliamentary Dimension was represented by Mr. Nikola Novakovic, Vice-President of the National Assembly, Belgrade, in its capacity of current CiO. In the delegation took part Mr. Uros Cemalovic, adviser in the Department for European Integration of the National Assembly, Belgrade and Ms. Mariana Vitanova, Head of RSPC SEE.
 The 30th session was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Baltic Assembly and to important issues of Baltic region parliamentary cooperation such as joint health care projects, sustainable energy market and joint infrastructure projects.
 Mr. Nikola Novakovic, Vice-President of the National Assembly, Belgrade delivered an official address on behalf of the SEECP PD. Mr. Novakovic congratulated the Baltic Assembly members on their anniversary of 20 years of fruitful cooperation and expressed the willingness of the SEECP parliamentarians to develop exchange of information and best practices with their colleagues from the Baltic Assembly. He outlined the milestones in SEECP history as well as the current challenges and priorities of the parliamentary cooperation in SEE region.
 During the visit the SEECP PD delegation established contacts with the Nordic Council, BSPC and Benelux Parliament representatives.
